Professional 许可: Please note that while the 麻萨诸塞州 Department of Higher 教育 State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA) enables MCLA to offer courses 和 programs in member states 和 territories outside 麻萨诸塞州, local state laws 和 regulations that govern professional licensure in students' home states still apply to any professional licensure course or program offered by MCLA. MCLA证实 that the programs listed above lead to licensure in 麻萨诸塞州 but cannot confirm whether any of these programs meet the requirements for professional licensure 和 certification 马萨诸塞州以外的地方. 麻萨诸塞州 participates with every state 和 the District of Columbia through the National Association of State Directors of Teacher 教育 和 Certification (NASDTEC) 州际协议 to accept c和idates' state approved educator preparation program or possession of the equivalent of at least an Initial license/certificate. 请注意州际公路 agreement does not exempt c和idates from degree, testing 和/or prerequisite requirements 适用于所申请的许可证.

C和idates from 马萨诸塞州以外的地方 may meet requirements for an Initial license if they have met one of the following:

  • Completed a "traditional" state/jurisdiction approved educator preparation program 马萨诸塞州以外的地方. A traditional program is completed via a regionally accredited 高等教育机构.
  • Hold a valid license from that state/jurisdiction.
  • Completed a state/jurisdiction approved "alternative/non-traditional" educator preparation program 和 possess the equivalent of an Initial license from that state/jurisdiction.
  • Completed an educator preparation program sponsored by a college or university outside of 麻萨诸塞州 that has been accredited by; the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher 教育 (NCATE), the Teacher 教育 Accreditation Council (TEAC), or the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).

MCLA's teacher licensure programs are as effective as they are practical; students who complete our teacher licensure courses have a 98% pass rate on the 麻萨诸塞州 教师执照考试.

All licensure c和idates will complete a minimum of 96 hours of work in a classroom appropriate to the license prior to student teaching.
